A higher divorce rate for couples who share household chores?
A Norwegian study that was just published found the divorce rates were higher for couples who shared housework equally versus those where one spouse handled the majority of the chores.
This seems a bit ridiculous to me. Many families in the US today have two working parents, so asking one spouse to do the majority of the housework seems odd to me. Maybe it’s because I have a spouse who is willing help out around the house (I cook, he cleans. I usually do laundry, but he has helped a bunch lately…)
Do you do the majority of the chores around your house? Do you think it makes life easier?
