Exciting News!

Greetings readers and Happy Thursday!

Earlier this week, I posted a vague message on my Facebook page mentioning some exciting news I had to share. Well, it’s time.

I began this blogging journey about a year ago, and boy has it been an exciting year. I have met some spectacular people through Twitter and my blog, and have been contacted about various job opportunities because of it. With my passion for food, I have been blessed to become friends with food writers, editors and chefs from around OKC. I could not have imaged any of it when I began.

So it was a thrill when, last week, I was contacted by the Lifestyle Editor of a local publication to gauge my interest in writing features and food reviews for them. My first reaction to reading the email was a small squeal followed by an email to GFB. I couldn’t believe my eyes.

(Drum roll please…) Without further adieu, it is my thrill to announce that I have just signed on to freelance write for the OK Gazette! I am so excited about the opportunity and cannot wait to spread the word about the wonderful food and drink that the Metro has to offer. I will be writing features and reviews for the Food and Drink section, so feel free to throw out ideas on places you love that I might need to try.

Thank you to each and every one of you who have supported me over the past year.  And this is only part one of my big news.  Part two will be revealed next week…. so stay tuned!
